Waiting for the Waxwings
Four 14 x 14 acrylic on wood panel works
Before hurricane Helene took the trees along the river and the earth beneath them, I used to sit and watch the cedar waxwings fly from tree to tree eating berries in the riparian zone along the river. We haven’t been able to move home yet because there is still too much destruction, but I look forward to a day when we can and even more forward to a time when the cedar waxwings flit from tree to tree along the river again.
