Tree Bark Series

four 18 x 18 acrylic on wood panel works

It occurred to me one day that we walk past incredible organic patterns, often without noticing them. This series highlights four tree bark patterns represented in vivid color to allow our eyes to see them anew. All four of these trees, American basswood, tulip tree, red maple and white ash will have their ranges shifted due to climate change.
