“Intricately Entwined” 36 x 48 - sold
From the pollinator story series, a butterfly composed of flowers it pollinates and from which it derives nectar. The flowers include thistle, dianthus, lavender, dandelion, poppy and butterfly bush. This work of art is an attempt to show the wonderful interconectedness and fragility of nature. Different flowers and different pollinators have evolved to be specific to one another. Certain flowers have a particular shape that fits the length of a certain type of butterfly’s tongue or to support the weight of a bumblebee.
