Embodied Sunlight
Two 20 x 16 acrylic on wood panel works
Goldfinches perched among fall elm leaves
I love the luminescent yellow of elm leaves in the fall; they take my breath away. When goldfinches perch among the golden leaves, they seem to disappear. The scene reminds me that all terrestrial energy on our planet is born of the sun. This scene seems to embody that sunlight. Goldfinches and elm trees don’t just look good together, they have a symbiotic relationship. Goldfinches eat the seeds of elm tree helping to disperse them.
