Awakening I
48” x 80” x 3” acrylic on wood panel.
A cherry tree in full bloom pictured with some of the birds and butterflies it has a symbiotic relationship with. Bird species include cardinals and blue jays. Butterfly species include tiger swallowtail, viceroy, and re-spotted purple butterfly. Butterflies pollinate cherry trees and provide food for songbirds. Songbirds like blue jays and cardinals eat some of the cherry blossoms allowing others to form healthy fruits, they also keep insect populations on the cherry tree in balance. There are so many facets in natures innerworkings; the more deeply you look the more connections you find.
