48 x 36 x 3” acrylic on wood panel
A red-tailed hawk loosely clutching an olive branch as a peace offering. The other talon is poised for the hunt. Hawks have ben treated as enemies by many farmers because they kill chickens. Hawks provide many services including keeping rodents, which damage crops and buildings in a healthy balance. Steps can be taken to minimize hawk attacks on chickens. The hawk will always hunt just like we will always farm. We must learn to live in harmony with other creatures and begin to recognize their value and sentience.
